Itinerary Details

Day 1 Entry Zhangjiajie

Our driver and guide will greet you at Zhangjiajie airport or railway station with a sign board, transfer to the hotel and free time to explore the city on your own.

Day 2 Zhangjiajie – Fenghuang B.L

Transfer to Fenghuang City (or known as Phoenix Town, 凤凰古城), It is 240km and about 3.5 hours drive.  Once arriving at FengHuang Ancient Town, you will visit the Ancient East Gate (东门),  then the Yang’s Ancestral Temple (杨家祠堂) which exhibits the furniture and tools of Tujia minority, you will also have a unique boating on the Tuojiang River (沱江泛舟) with hanging wooden houses on both sides. Enjoy the beautiful night view along the Tuojiang River.

Day 3 Fenghuang – Zhangjiajie B.L

Free time to explore souvenir shops, try local snacks and find interesting things in corners of the ancient town in the morning. After lunch, transfer from Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie.

Day 4 Zhangjiajie B.L

After breakfast, first visit the Tianzi Mountain (天子山). Take cable car up to Tianzi Mountain, visit Helong Marshal Park (贺龙公园). After lunch, head to Yuanjiajie （袁家界), which is the highlight of the Zhangjiajie quartz sandstone peaks. You will visit the No.1 Natural Bridge in the world (天下第一桥), the Enchanting Stage (迷魂台), the Qiankun Peak (乾坤柱). also known as the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, it is the shooting location of “Avatar”.  Take Bailong elevator (百龙天梯) down the mountain. After dinner enjoy the folklore show of Miao and Tujia minorities——Charming Western Hunan 魅力湘西 (optional).

Day 5 Depart Zhangjiajie B.L

In the morning, casual walk along the beautiful and peaceful stream–Golden Whip Stream （金鞭溪） and the Then visit the Ten Mile Gallery (十里画廊).  After that drive back to Zhangjiajie city, take the cable car to visit magnificent Tianmen Mountain (天门山) , where you will walk on the sky walk glasses （玻璃栈道） to show off your courage, take cable car down. Transfer to airport or train station. End of your Zhangjiajie Fenghuang tour.
