Day 1 Beijing Arrival B
Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel for guaranteed early check-in, free day for you to explore the city by yourself.
Day 2 Beijing B.L.D
A full day excursion to include the Great Wall – the landmark of China and one of the most amazing feats of human labor. You are to visit the less crowded Mutianyu section with cable car included. After lunch, you’ll will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming if weather permits (not for Winter season). This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing roast duck dinner.
Day 3 Beijing- Taiyuan-Pingyao B.L
After breakfast take a tour of Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palaces which is home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. This evening, you will be at leisure or take an optional evening show – “the Legend of Kungfu”. Then You will also visit the old Beijing – Hutongs – by trishaw and have tea at a local family. Afternoon is at leisure until transfer to railway station for high speed train to Taiyuan. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to Pingyao.
Day 4 Pingyao – Taiyuan – Beijing B.L.D
The highlight of today’s tour will be wandering around the old town of Pingyao, which was built according to the traditional Han Chinese town planning and architectural style. Four main streets, eight narrower ones and 72 small lanes formed a neat grid. The town’s dwellings were built either in the style of courtyard houses or man-made cave-houses. Old temples and shops are still scattered all over the town which bring back memories of its flourishing past. Afternoon you’ll transfer back to Taiyuan, en route visit Chang Family Compound which is found in Dongyang Town southwest of Yuci District in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. Actually it is a splendid group of constructions of northern folk houses in the Qing Dynasty. What’s more, it is the largest one in scale among so many compounds of Shanxi merchants. Then you’ll take the bullet train back to Beijing. Our tour guide will meet the guests, and transfer to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 05 Beijing Departure B
Time at leisure until transfer to airport for your home bound flight. End of your unforgettable China trip.
