Both Datong and Pingyao are located in Shanxi Province. With a history of over 2,400 years, Datong has many historical relics, such as the Yungang Buddhist Caves, Hanging Monastery and the Nine Dragon Wall.
The ancient city Pingyao is an outstanding ancient Ming and Qing Dynasty city. This small town was the whole China’s financial center in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The ancient city has survived intact as it was 600 years ago.
