Donghuamen Night Market, the most famous night market in Beijing, is closed on June 24th, 2016.
The bustling night market is at the east gate of the Forbidden City, next to Wangfujing Street is well-known for various bazaar foods including smelly tofu, kidneys, snake and scorpion. Many domestic and foreign travelers like to to there and try these strange snacks.
Due to hygiene and noise complaints as well as affecting the traffic, the Donghuamen market closes on 24 June 2016.
For travelers who still like to enjoy local snacks, they can go to other night markets such as Nanluoguxiang Lane and Guijie Night Market.
